Jim Votel
| After graduation, I attended Mesa and Glendale Colleges, while working for the Coca Cola Company and Robinson-May Department Stores. I began working for the US Postal Service in 1984. In 1989, I was promoted into management and I was a supervisor for 12 years. It has been a dream to start my own business, so I figured that it was now or never, so, last year I began my own business, Absolute Casino, a casino party rental business. I have been married to Renee for almost 13 years. We have three beautiful girls, Sarah (12), Emily (10) and Hannah (3). After my Hannah was born, my Renee was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She underwent surgery, chemo and radiation therapies, and has been doing quite well since. This life-changing event prompted me to resign my supervisory position at the Post Office because I didn't need the added stress. I still work for the USPS as a clerk at the Poway Post Office.
