Classmate Profile:
Adam Abrego
I worked in the wireless communications business for about 15 years. I decided I needed a career change at the age of 44 and got involved with the New York City Teaching Fellows program, an alternative teacher certification program run by the City of New York. I graduated with my Masters degree in Mathematics Education in May of 2006. I am working for the NYC Board of Education as a math teacher in a high needs high school. Best career move I ever made. I love teaching. On the personal side, I recently remarried, after 11 years of the divorced/single life. My daughters are the light of my life. Jessica has been accepted to Yale and is 3/4 of the way through her freshman year. Amanda is a junior in high school this year and doing great. In my spare time I enjoy sailing and wooden boat building. I currently reside in Queens, NY.
