Classmate Profile:
Adriene Hughes
After graduating from SDSU with a degree in literature, I worked as a paralegal until I was married. My husband worked for the S.D. Chargers so it turned out to be a different lifestyle - traveling a lot and having a household consumed by football in general. During this time I began to study photography and began working professionally as a photographer. I eventually attended graduate school in Boston at Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, emphasizing my education in technology based media arts. Currently I am a Media Specialist at UCSD where I teach video editing. I also teach photography through UCSD Extension. I keep a photo-blog (www.softservegirl.com) where I document my life through digital means. I continue to pursue photography creatively, and I have kept with ballet all these years. I still dance three times a week. I live with a 13 year old female pitt bull named Lucy. She is my cranky old lady. Life does take us down complicated and beautiful paths in which we are all challenged to the core of who we are. Though the past 25 years has brought diverse experiences, nothing can be more profound than becoming a breast cancer survivor. Though my marriage did not survive, and I unfortunately was not blessed with children, I do remain a positive individual with many people around me whom I love. I feel blessed for the life I have and look forward to my future. I hope this all finds you well. I have enjoyed reading everyones profiles!! Please contact me through my web site if you can. (Profile submitted April 2006) Find out what's new with many of our other classmates by attending our next Reunion! |
