Classmate Profile:
Gary French
In 1981, I was diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease). After about a year on dialysis, I received a kidney transplant with a kidney donated by my older brother, Patrick. It has been over twenty years since I successfully received the transplant. The entire experience inspired me to pursue a career in nursing which allows me give back some of what was given to me. In my spare time I enjoy: mountain biking, music and travel. I also enjoy all things Honduran, especially my wife of 10 years, Blanca. My wife and I reside in Hemet, CA (Profile written July 2003) UPDATE 5/23/2007: Sadly, we learned today that Gary died on June 2, 2005 when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a truck. Someone close to Gary setup a very nice memorial site in his honor. Our condolences to Gary's family and friends. Find out what's new with many of our other classmates by attending our next Reunion. |
