Classmate Profile:
Cynthia (Goodrum) Griffith
| The summer after graduation, I took a hiking/camping trip to Kauai and Maui with classmate, Helen Alfrets. In the fall, I began college while continuing to travel. During my college years, I took a couple of trips to Europe as well as trips throughout the United States. I graduated from SDSU with a degree in Journalism/Advertising, with a minor in Psychology. I tried my hand at freelance writing, authoring a few magazine articles while also taking the position of promotion director for a PR agency. I subsequently worked for Higgs, Fletcher and Mack as their PR Director before moving on to the Price Company for an 8 year stint in marketing. When the company relocated their headquarters to Washington state, I took the opportunity to retire to stay at home with my two sons. My husband, Rusty, and I continue to travel as much as possible, and recently spent a month in Europe with our kids Mitch (17) and Connor (15) and survived it! I love to snow ski and paint, and recently, I took my first surfing lesson. (Must be fighting the age thing). I'm a football fan and also love to read, but not at the same time! I recently went back to work as an HR Generalist but would eventually like to research and create worldwide study programs/trips for college students. |
