After high school I attended Mesa for 2 years, then got married (1980) to my wonderful husband Gary-today (August 9, 2008) is our 28th anniversary! We moved to St. Louis while he attended dental school, then came back here to CA, first L.A. then San Diego. During that time we were blessed with our children, Dani who is now 22, Alan, 19, & Tracy 17.

In 1993 we decided on trying a quieter, "saner" lifestyle so we packed up the kids & the dog & moved to a small town in Nebraska! Geographically as far from an ocean as possible! It was an adjustment for sure but we have had a great life there & maintained our love of the beach with frequent trips to SD (Crystal Pier), & Cabo-even surfed behind our boat.

Just last year we decided to give San Diego another try. Our youngest daughter Tracy yearned for the California lifestyle & is finishing high school here at Cathedral Catholic, hoping to attend a UC school after graduation next year. Gary is racking up frequent flyer miles by commuting from Nebraska, maintaining his Oral Surgery practice there until we decide on a definitive place to live.

Our son Alan will be attending Creighton University in Omaha, our daughter Dani graduated from University of Omaha this summer. She is now married to Kelly Gilson & expecting our first grandchild in January!

Raising our kids has always been my top priority but I also managed to finish my degree in 1999 & taught 8th grade PE for 4 years. For the past 5-6 years I have been substitute teaching which has allowed me more flexibility with our crazy schedule. I coached volleyball for 12 years, at a couple different schools ranging from 7-12th grade & have enjoyed that very much. We love working with teenagers & have been very involved with our church Youth Camp & various volunteer programs. It is good to be back home & will be interesting to see where the next stage of our life takes us...life IS good & we are greatly blessed!
