A graduate of San Diego State University (go Aztecs/Go Chargers!) with a BA in accounting, Cathy worked for Laventhol & Horwath, got her CPA and worked briefly as a CPA until she happily retired to raise her family in 1988.

She resides in the Olivenhain area of Encinitas with her husband Craig and sons, Chris (a junior at Chapman University) and Cameron "CJ" (a senior at La Costa Canyon High who recently committed to play lacrosse at Villanova in 2009).

Not one to spend all her time in domestic endeavors, Cathy has served on the Boards of several Foundations and non-profits in a variety of capacities. She enjoys the flexibility and creativity of volunteer work. Her current primary focus is with youth and high school sports (no big surprise to those of you who remember her) and currently she helps kids with the college recruiting process as well as non-stop fundraising projects.

In her spare time she enjoys travelling, especially adventure travel. This last year she has gone to Africa (safari), the Aagean Sea (cruise), Lake Powell (houseboating) and has a rim to rim hike planned through the Grand Canyon in October. She also enjoys Scuba diving.

Her parents still live in Clairemont and her sister lives in Santee.
